Dr. Zaid is a highly trained interventional cardiologist with extensive training in a field called "CHIP", which stands for Complex and High-Risk PCI. This is a specialty in interventional cardiology that involves opening up arteries that are complicated or have been closed for an extended period of time that would otherwise be considered inoperable and a lost cause.
He is also trained in as a "CTO Operator" which is an advanced field of cardiology where the cardiologist is specifically trained in opening arteries that have been closed for many years.
Dr. Zaid was also heavily involved in the ECMO program at Henry Ford hospital and has extensive training in management and treatment of advanced cardiogenic shock and hemodynamic support.
